early childhood family resource guide:
a toolkit to creating a culture of achievement at home, beginning prenatally through the transition to kindergarten
This guide was developed by the Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ) in partnership with Little Moments Count on the belief that parents and caregivers are children’s first and most important teachers. It offers support during each stage of development, beginning during pregnancy and continuing until the child transitions to kindergarten.
nurturing young minds: comprehensive guides from prenatal to age 5
The guide celebrates activities families are already doing with their children and gives new ideas to expand learning opportunities. We also know many appointments and educational opportunities for children in the first five years, so we’ve added these as a reminder to families through handy checklists and developmental milestones.
